Free diagnosis of 500 genetic diseases in 1000 infants in Greece

The Athens-Macedonian News Agency reports on the pilot phase of the FirstSteps project, which offers free genomic analysis to 1,000 newborns to detect up to 500 serious genetic diseases. This action is the first step towards the national implementation of the program, aiming for universal coverage of 100,000 infants in the coming years.
